The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs are excited to announce the extension of local junior Bailey Hayward until the end of the 2026 season.

The St George Dragons junior has played 23 first-grade games for the Club since debuting in Round 6 of the 2024 season.

Hayward has also enjoyed a successful Pathways career at the Club, captaining the Jersey Flegg Cup team and being recognised as the side’s Player of the Year in 2022.

His efforts were rewarded with an international call up, playing two Test matches for Scotland in the Rugby League World Cup later that year.

General Manager of Football Phil Gould was pleased to see Hayward extend his time at Belmore.

“Bailey is a shining example of the kind of players that we are looking to bring through our Academy system,” he said.

He is a well-spoken young man that is a local of the Canterbury-Bankstown district. He understands this Club well and we are thrilled to have him commit further.

“He has a no-nonsense approach to training and gameday, and while he has been thrown in many different situations on the field, he has thrived with the responsibility.

“We’re looking forward to seeing how his role evolves in the coming seasons.”
