The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs would like to express their sincere condolences to the family and friends of Bob Hagan, who has sadly passed away.

Hagan, Bulldog no.324, arrived at the Club via England in 1967 after representing both Queensland and Australia.

The striding centre became a regular member of the side, and helped propel Canterbury to the 1967 NSWRFL Grand Final against South Sydney.

Playing 45 first-grade games at the Club until 1969, Hagan featured for NSW while at the Club, and captained the side on eleven occasions.

Following a solitary season in Toowoomba, Hagan returned to the Club as Head Coach for two seasons in 1971 and 1972, before returning to Queensland as the inaugural President of the Gold Coast in 1988.

Hagan enjoyed a third stint at Belmore in 1996 when he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Club for seven years.

He holds the unique distinction as the only person in Club history to have been a first-grade player, first-grade Head Coach and CEO.

The Bulldogs wish to pay their respects to Bob. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.
