Wilson Twins Return to Family Club for Historic Season

The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs are proud to announce the signing of twin sisters Anneka and Leilani Wilson to the Club’s inaugural NRLW squad for 2025.

Proud local juniors with St Christophers, the Wilson sisters return to Belmore having previously played in the Club’s Tarsha Gale Cup and Harvey Norman Women’s Premiership sides.

Season 2024 proved to be a standout for the pair in the Harvey Norman Women’s Premiership, with Leilani crowned the competition’s NSW Player of the Year, while Anneka steered the ship in the no.7 jersey as they took Wentworthville to within one game of the Grand Final.

NRLW Head Coach Blake Cavallaro was thrilled to bring the pair back to the Club where their rugby league journeys first began.

“I’m really excited to bring both Anneka and Leilani back to the Club for our inaugural NRLW campaign,” he expressed.

I’ve had the opportunity to work with both sisters in the past at both club and rerpesentative level, where they have contributed to State of Origin and Grand Final victories in the pathways sphere.

“They have shown that they are both ready to make the step up into the NRLW after starring in the lower grades.

“Anneka has showcased her playmaking abilities for a number of years and will compliment our halves stocks, while Leilani is a dominant figure on the edge and in the middle.

“Not only is it yet another family connection at The Family Club, but it’s an opportunity for two of our local juniors to wear the Blue and White in our first season.”

The Bulldogs congratulate Anneka and Leilani on their achievement and look forward to welcoming them to the Club for the 2025 pre-season.
