The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs are thrilled to reveal the Club’s brand-new 90-Year Anniversary Logo to kick off a year of celebrations in 2025.
Since 1935, the Bulldogs logo has undergone a number of iterations and changes, with the Club intent on tying together three of the most iconic logos of the past as we commemorate our 90th year in the top grade.
Our very first insignia, which was made famous from 1935-1977, takes its rightful place in the centre of the logo within a newly introduced banner. The bold 'CB’ shield was worn proudly on the chest of Bulldogs pioneers Henry Porter, Roy Kirkaldy and Eddie Burns, who helped deliver our first two Premierships in 1938 and 1942.
Binding together each element is the iconic black and blue circular design, first worn in 1978, the same year we officially adopted the Bulldog as our mascot.
90-Year Anniversary Logo Release
The fan-favourite design is arguably one of the most iconic in the code’s history, and also represents the Club’s most successful period from 1980-1995.
With five Premierships in 16 years, Club royalty Dr George Peponis, Steve Mortimer and Terry Lamb held aloft the Premiership trophy as we announced ourselves as a powerhouse of the competition.
Centre stage is of course the Bulldog in its most modern iteration, which has made appearances in both the 2012 and 2014 Grand Finals with modern-day legends including Michael Ennis, James Graham, Trent Hodkinson and Josh Reynolds representing a new breed of Bulldog.
Now, as we celebrate our 90th anniversary, the Club’s newest look represents not only our rich heritage and tradition, but all eras of Bulldogs players, staff, Members and supporters - both young and old.
The 90-Year Anniversary Logo will be adorned on all Club merchandise and apparel as we both celebrate our past and enter a new era in 2025.
