Brisbane Broncos speedster Bridget Hoy will join the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs for the Club’s inaugural NRLW season in a bid to cement a starting position in the Blue and White.

After starring for the Tweed Seagulls in Queensland’s BMD Premiership earlier this season - where she scored a remarkable 12 tries and made 16 linebreaks in just eight matches - Hoy will no doubt be looking to translate that success to the big time.

Arriving on a two-year deal, Hoy will reunite with Tweed teammate and talented half Ash Quinlan. The pair formed a great partnership together in the BMD and will look to build on this when they arrive to Belmore for the pre-season.

Hoy made her NRLW debut for the Broncos earlier this season, taking the field off the interchange in Round 2 against the Roosters. Bulldogs Head of Pathways Adam Hartigan has been keeping a close eye and is adamant that the 24-year-old has all the makings to become a star winger.

“Bridget is a noted finisher,” Hartigan said.

She has shown her capabilities as a try scorer and she is a fast, electric player who will add plenty of speed and strike power to our outside backs.

“There’s an opportunity for Bridget to cement herself as an NRLW winger, and we’re looking forward to seeing how she performs next year.”

In the interim, she will play out the 2024 NRLW season under Brisbane’s badge and out of respect to both Hoy and her current club, the Bulldogs will not be making any further comment at this time. We wish her all the best for the remainder of the season.
