Round 27 Team News: Final Regular Round Clash v Cowboys

The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs side to take on the North Queensland Cowboys in the final match of the regular season has been named.

Returning to Accor Stadium this Saturday, September 7, the Bulldogs will be fighting it out for a chance to host next week's semi final at home.

The Club's Harvey Norman Women's Premiership side will kick off proceedings at 3:00pm in their Round 10 match against the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles, with a number of the Club's future female stars set to take center stage on the main field as they battle it out for top four finals contention.

In NRL team news, Cameron Ciraldo's line up has undergone a number of changes, highlighted by the return of Captain Stephen Crichton.

Fellow centre Bronson Xerri drops out from the squad this week after accepting a one-match ban for dangerous contact, while five-eighth Matt Burton will also be unavailable after undergoing the NRL's mandatory stand-down HIA protocols.

Jeral Skelton will reprise his role on the wing with Jacob Kiraz returning to the centres for this weeks clash against the Cowboys, while Drew Hutchison has been recalled to wear the no.6 jersey and partner with Toby Sexton in the halves.

Reliable front rower Sam Hughes will notch up a personal milestone, playing his 50th Bulldogs Club game on Saturday. Touted by General Manager of Football, Phil Gould AM in the pre-season as a breakout star for 2024, the big bodied prop has been a mainstay for the side appearing in all 23 matches for the Bulldogs this season.
