Round 24 Team News: Bundaberg clash with Dolphins

Head Coach Cameron Ciraldo has named his 22-man squad to face the Dolphins at Bundaberg's, Salter Oval on Saturday afternoon.

The match will mark just the third NRL fixture to be hosted in Bundaberg, thanks to the Bulldogs with the support of Tourism and Events Queensland and Bundaberg Regional Council. 

With both teams coming off Round 23 victories and vying for a spot in the finals, fans can expect a very competitive game.

In a slight change to last week's interchange bench, Jaeman Salmon returns to the fold for the first time since Round 18, after having missed the last five weeks due to a broken jaw.

Kurt Mann will back up from an impressive Round 23 performance, and Jacob Kiraz, Matt Burton and Josh Addo-Carr will embrace the Salter Oval atmosphere for a third consecutive year. Addo-Carr will also mark his 50th match in Bulldogs colours.

The Bulldogs and Dolphins clubs have only met once so far during last year’s match in the region and a Burton halftime field goal proved the difference to secure a narrow 23-22 victory for the Bulldogs.

This year's Round 24 clash forms part of the Telstra NRL Footy Country Series, bringing top-tier rugby league action to regional fans. Just under 1,000 tickets remain available to witness the match live so interested parties are urged to get in quickly to secure their tickets.
