The 2024 Next Level High School Talent Comp unveiled some brilliant new musicians in Bundaberg – and now they get to perform live at the upcoming Bulldogs v Dolphins NRL match this Saturday!
A proud initiative of the Bulldogs, Empirical Music and Triple M Bundy, this year’s competition was hosted by the Waves Sports Club on Wednesday 19th June and showcased some of the regions brightest new stars.
This year’s competition was taken out by return entrant Brooklyn Sauer, who once again impressed the judges and audience with her incredibly mature approach to songwriting, and her vocal and keyboard skills, that she has clearly invested time in developing.
Runners-up were brother-sister duo Rezen Heart. Mace and Josie played some compelling original songs, weaving in their life experiences and turning tragedy into works of art. They’ve been hugely proactive in the short time since they formed the group, having released a single ‘Submerged’ and working on more music.
“We’re so delighted to give these young artists a platform to show their families, schools, social networks and peers what they can do, and to provide an opportunity to be part of such a great initiative”, said Abby Skye, a singer and producer from the Bundaberg Region.
Next Level is also supported by The Waves Sports Club and Bout Time Music.
This year, all entrants will be performing on Game Day, Saturday 17th at Salter Oval, Bundaberg and will likely be performing for the largest crowd of their lives to date.
The Salter Oval clash marks just the third NRL fixture to be held in the Bundaberg region and tickets are on-sale and moving fast!
