The NRL Premiership fixture in Bundaberg – Bulldogs vs Dolphins will be a quintessential Queensland experience in Bundaberg and is set to contribute towards a $850 million Queensland Events Calendar in 2024.

WHAT'S ON
PLAYER MEET & GREET
During our stay in Bundaberg, Members and fans will have the opportunity to get up and close with their favourite players during a signing session.
The signing session will take place on Thursday evening, August 15 at Salter Oval.
Members will have the exclusive early access to the event (skip to the front of the queue) as they are invited to attend from 6:15pm. The General Public will have access from 6:45pm with the event set to conclude at 7:15pm.
TELSTRA COUNRTY SERIES ROUND
The NRL Telstra Premiership Footy Country Series is an exciting new initiative in 2024, designed to celebrate and support Rugby League communities in regional Australia during the 2024 season.
This years' Round 24 clash in Bundaberg forms part of the Telstra NRL Footy Country Tour and we have a number of exciting initiatives planned to celebrate the Round.
Firstly, players will visit the Telstra Store located inside the Hinkler Shopping Centre on Thursday August 15 from 4pm - 5:30pm. Then, one local hero will be recognised on match day for their contribution to rugby league in the region while local grassroots footy clubs will get the chance to play on the main field in our Mini Mods Footy at halftime during the NRL match!
ALL ABILITIES CURTAIN RAISER
The Bulldogs have once again partnered with Walk With Me 4 Autism All Abilities Rugby League, with players set to take the main field and kick-off the NRL match at Salter Oval.
The Walk With Me 4 Autism All Abilities Rugby League program, established by local Bundaberg mums, Sonya Olsen and Judy Fenn, offers kids and adults with special needs to enjoy the game in a fun and supportive environment. Be sure not to miss this special event and cheer on the Walk With Me 4 Autism participants and Bulldogs players as they make their mark on the NRL stage at Salter Oval.
MEMBER EXPERIENCES
We are excited to showcase our loyal Members in Bundaberg with our exclusive 18 Jersey and Junior Rookie experiences set to take place pre-game.
This will see a lucky Member presented on field with a signed 18 Jersey and our Junior Rookie delivering the game ball.
A highlight of our Bundaberg fixture is the halftime Member's exclusive, $50K kick for cash! The competition will see a winner drawn to get on-field at halftime during the match with a chance to complete kicks across 10m, 20m, 30m, 40m, and 50m kicking stations, choosing to ‘boot it’ and kick for cash milestones or simply ‘bank it’ and pick up anywhere from a $500.00 consolation prize to the full $50k along the way.

MEMBER ACCESS
Bundaberg Members can scan into the game at Salter Oval using their Membership Cards.
- Northern Grandstand Members will scan into Gate A and sit in the allocated seat on their Membership Card.
- Southern Grandstand Members will scan into Gate B and sit in the allocated seat on their Membership Card.
- Grandstand, Premium Sideline and Standing Members will enter via Gate A or B. Grandstand and Premium Sideline Members will be required to sit in the allocated seat on their Membership Card.
- Standing Members will have General Admission access (access via Gate A or B) and will be required to find a suitable place to stand in the allocated areas.
All other Members excluding Bundaberg Members will be required to purchase tickets to access the event.
If you have any enquiries on Game Day, a Membership Representative will be stationed in the Box Office located at Gate A from 11:45am until the end of half time.

SAFETY & SECURITY
Entering the field of play at any point of the event is strictly prohibited.
Offenders will be prosecuted by Police with lifetime bans to NRL Events and monetary fines will be enforced.
This is to ensure the safety of all patrons, working staff and players.
TRAFFIC & TRANSPORT
Fans are encouraged to plan their trip and consider all the available travel options ahead of time.
- BUSES – Stewart and Sons and Duffy’s Busses will be operational during their regular times and routes.
- DRIVING - Traffic will be heavier than usual on roads approaching Salter Oval including Takalvan Street, White Street, Avoca Street, Payne Street, and Walker Street as crowds travel to and from the game. To ensure pedestrian safety during pre, during and following the event some local roads may close (see below) and a reduction in speed limits may apply.
- TAXI - Services will be available on game day. Download the 13cabs app here.
- UBER – Services will be available in a limited capacity on game day. Download the Uber app here.
- PARKING – Parking is limited on local streets and car parks in the area, fans are advised to arrive early and allow additional travel time. Limited parking will be available onsite (gold coin donation) with access via Avoca and Walker streets. Patrons parking outside the venue are reminded not to obstruct driveways/emergency access points.
- ROAD CLOSURES – White Steet will be closed on Saturday August 17 2024 from 6:00am through to 8:00pm. During the closures, traffic management will be in place for patron drop off.
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
For the comfort, safety and enjoyment of all patrons, Council reserves the right to:
- Refuse entry to any persons deemed to be intoxicated, drug effected, disorderly and/or engaging in anti-social behaviour.
- Refuse entry to any unauthorised persons.
- Refuse entry of items which have the potential to cause injury or public nuisance. (i.e. large flags/banners, musical instruments, etc.)
- Council reserves the right to inspect/search bags of all patrons who enter or exit the venue, regardless of size. This may include the touching of the outside of the bag and/or seeking assistance of the bag owner to remove items from the bag. Patrons who refuse inspections or searches may be denied entry to the venue.
- CCTV is located in and around the event precinct for the purpose of venue security and public safety. Footage may be provided to the Queensland Police Service. All personal information is handled in accordance with the Information Privacy Act 2009.
- Patrons are only authorised to access the seats/areas of the venue to which they are ticketed.
- Persons gaining unauthorised access to the venue and/or the venue’s field of play may be liable for prosecution.
- Patrons who cause a disturbance, or refuse to comply with requests made by Council and event staff will be evicted from the venue.
- Pass-outs will not be issued. Persons under 12 years of age will not be permitted entry unless under the direct supervision of an adult.
- Alcoholic beverages cannot be taken into or from the venue by patrons.
- Smoking, including use of electronic cigarettes, personal vaporisers, etc. is only permitted in the Designated Smoking areas. Patrons who smoke outside the Designated Smoking areas at the venue may be immediately evicted from the venue.
- Patrons wishing to bring personal items into the venue do so at their own risk. Council will not be held responsible for any damages to, loss or theft of a patron’s personal property.
- Umbrellas are not permitted into the venue. It is recommended patrons bring ponchos or rain jackets for use inside the venue.
- Due to safety reasons, strollers and prams are not permitted into the venue’s ticketed seating areas and cannot be kept in aisles or other open areas which may impact the safe passage of patrons.
- Unauthorised soliciting and customer surveying is not permitted.
- Patrons are not permitted to throw any objects around or within the venue seating areas.
- Some sporting and other activities are dangerous. Patrons viewing such activities do so at their own risk.
SECURITY CHECKS
Please be advised that all persons entering Salter Oval will be subject to the following security checks:
- 100% bag check at all entry gates (including staff and media entries)
- Persons refusing to undergo such security processes will be refused entry to Salter Oval.
- Patrons will be encouraged not to bring bags to the Stadium.
- Should a patron have a bag which requires checking by security staff, then the patron will be responsible for unpacking and re-packing their bags as part of the process.
PROHIBITED ITEMS
As per the Conditions of Entry, the following restricted/prohibited items are not permitted into Salter Oval:
- Glass or cans, including aerosol cans or metal containers of any style
- Alcoholic beverages and illicit drugs
- Flares, fireworks, explosives, smoke bombs or other
- Incendiary devices
- Laser pens/pointers
- Drones
- Knives or other dangerous weapons
- Chairs/stools/folding seats (disability support items permitted)
- Cameras and recording devices (for commercial purposes) including tripods
- Metal flag poles, extendable flag poles and/or flag poles of more than 1.4 metres in length and 2cm in diameter
- Oversized banners and flags which are deemed to cause public nuisance. Specific conditions may apply for some events regarding the entry of flag poles, flags and banners
- Whistles, hooters, and horns and other musical instruments (e.g., drums)
- Balloons, confetti or shredded paper
- Scooters, roller skates, skateboards and push bikes
- Not to wear or otherwise display commercial, political or other offensive signage or logos
- Animals (with the exception of certified service animals)
- Other items as determined by Council that may cause injury or public nuisance
- Eskies
- Bags with larger dimension than 40cm in height, 30cm in width and 30cm in length (i.e., too large to be stored under a seat).
If any of these are items are bought to the Stadium, they will undergo cloaking prior to entry by Event Security.
