The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs are proud to announce the signing of Pauline Suli-Ruka, marking a significant milestone as the first player to progress from the Bulldogs Academy to the Club's inaugural NRLW squad, solidifying her place in Canterbury's rich Rugby League history.

Pauline's journey through the Bulldogs pathways has been nothing short of remarkable. Starting in the Lisa Fiaola Cup in 2023, she quickly advanced to become a pivotal player in the Tarsha Gale Cup for 2024. Her standout performances earned her selection in the NSW City Under 19s team and recognition as an Australian Schoolgirl, highlighting her exceptional talent and dedication to the sport.

"While Pauline remains eligible for Tarsha Gale next season, her inclusion in the Harvey Norman Women's Premiership team this year marks another crucial step in her development," said Bulldogs Head of Pathway, Adam Hartigan.

"Her progression through our junior representative programs—from Lisa Fiaola to Tarsha Gale and now to an NRLW contract—is a testament to her hard work and the quality of our development pathways."

A versatile backrower, Pauline's signing adds depth and versatility to the Bulldogs' inaugural NRLW roster. Her training with the Harvey Norman Women’s Premiership squad and under Head Coach, Blake Cavallaro will provide her with invaluable experience to compete for a spot come 2025 and will contribute significantly on match days as and where she earns her start in the NRLW.

"Pauline is definitely in our long-term plans for the future of Bulldogs NRLW," said Cavallaro.

"She brings a robust playing style and a strong work ethic that will enhance our team dynamics both on and off the field."

Currently honing her skills as a backrower coming off the bench in Harvey’s this season under Coach Cavallaro's guidance, Pauline looks forward to gaining exposure in open-age competition in the upcoming weeks.

"I have really enjoyed my pathway experience and am grateful for the opportunity to be trained and guided by quality coaches and trainers. The support on and off the field has been amazing and I am really looking forward to the challenge ahead," she said.

To be honest, I can't wait. Every time I have put on a Bulldogs jersey, I've always felt proud and honoured but to play in the first Bulldogs NRLW squad for 2025 is just going to be a dream come true.

The Bulldogs extend their congratulations to Pauline Suli-Ruka on this landmark achievement and look forward to witnessing her continued growth and success over the 2024 Harvey Norman Women’s Premiership Season and in the NRLW next year.
