The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs have welcomed the news that Under 19s Sky Blues centre Andie Robinson will join the Club from 2025 onwards as the build towards an inaugural NRLW side continues.

Andie Robinson, a versatile and exciting outside back, will offer the Club great utility value having progressed her way through the junior representative pathways with the ability to cover anywhere from the centre and wing positions through to fullback.

The daughter of former Balmain Tigers first-grade player Clint, Robinson grew up playing Oz-Tag and Rugby Sevens before taking up Rugby League in 2020.

In just her second year playing, she was selected to the NSW Under 19s State of Origin squad where she was coached by Sky Blues U19s coach turned Bulldogs NRLW Head Coach, Blake Cavallaro. Robinson was selected for the Origin arena again by Cavallaro in the following year, where she made her talents clear by scoring a hattrick at Leichhardt Oval where her Dad spent his playing during the late 1980’s and early 1990’s sharing the field with Tigers’ greats such as Steve Roach, Gary Jack, Wayne Pearce and Benny Elias.

After earning back-to-back victories with her State of Origin contingent, the young talent earned her start in the NRLW with a call up to join the St George Illawarra Dragons in 2022 before making a move to the Cronulla Sharks for the 2023 and 2024 seasons.

Come 2025 and the 22-year-old will link up with her old coach to help steer the Bulldogs inaugural side to a competitive start in the NRLW competition.

“I have a lot of respect for Andie,” said Cavallaro.

I think she is going to bring some serious X-factor to the side we are building here at the Bulldogs, and I see her as a genuine fullback who can compete with the likes of the best in the NRLW.

Robinson will join the Bulldogs for the start of the 2025 pre-season and has signed on to a two-year term at the Club. Out of respect to Robinson and her current commitments at the Sharks, the Bulldogs will not be making any further comment at this time and would like to wish her well for the upcoming season.
