The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs have added another talented player to their inaugural NRLW roster, proudly announcing the signing of Ebony Prior for the 2025 and 2026 seasons.
Prior, a talented tag-to-tackle convert, showcased her skills through the Wests Tigers Tarsha Gale and Harvey Norman Women’s Premiership squads before making her NRLW debut last season.
The 21-year-old made an impressive start to her NRLW career with a Round 1 victory over the Parramatta Eels, establishing herself as a dynamic presence in the middle of the field and becoming a key player for the Tigers NRLW squad throughout last year. She featured prominently in eight games during the 2023 season and will look to build on her NRLW experience in the upcoming season.
Quick out of dummy half and with good footwork, NRLW Head Coach Blake Cavallaro’s vision for the incumbent signing is to see her pair with the Club’s dynamic halfback Tayla Preston.
“Ebony played with Tayla in the 2022 Harvey Norman Women’s Premiership Grand Final and they formed a strong combination. She’s since proven her ability to form good combinations with all of her teammates.
She brings a blend of youth and experience to our NRLW squad. She is a good defender, offers a strong passing game, and great footy IQ. She is an ideal fit for our Club.
Ebony will join Canterbury at the start of the 2025 NRLW pre-season, adding depth and versatility to the Bulldogs’ inaugural NRLW side.
With additional signings to be announced in the coming weeks, Prior’s inclusion promises to enhance the team’s dynamic for what promises to be an exciting debutant season.
