The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs are reaffirming their commitment to regional well-being by extending their partnership with leading aeromedical organisation LifeFlight for the third consecutive year.
Having pledged generous support through donations of $1.00 for every ticket sold at their regional home matches in Bundaberg over the 2022 and 2023 seasons, the Bulldogs are proud to announce the continuation of this initiative into 2024.
The Bulldogs will return to Salter Oval on Saturday, August 17, 2024, to take on the Dolphins in the NRL’s Telstra Premiership. They have today announced, an ongoing commitment of $1.00 from each ticket sold for this match to support the critical emergency medical services provided by LifeFlight.
Tickets for the match went on sale to the general public on Wednesday, July 3, and have already seen overwhelming support, with more than 2,000 tickets sold during the initial release.
With a stadium capacity exceeding 7,000 once additional infrastructure is in place thanks to the support from Bundaberg Regional Council, the Bulldogs are aiming for a sell-out event that will significantly benefit the aeromedical service unit.
In 2023, following their inaugural NRL Telstra Premiership match in the Bundaberg region, the Bulldogs allocated $8,500 towards training and emergency medical equipment for LifeFlight. Subsequently, they further contributed $5,130 after their second NRL match in the region later that year.
LifeFlight plays a crucial role in deploying specialised medical teams swiftly to emergency scenes in remote and regional areas, delivering timely and expert care to individuals facing life-threatening situations. Their efforts have a profound impact on the lives of those in need, offering comfort and support to patients and their families.
LifeFlight Wide-Bay Burnett Regional Advisory Committee chair Neil Phillips said LifeFlight was proud to partner with the Bulldogs Rugby League Club for the third consecutive year.
“We’re incredibly grateful for the support of the Bulldogs for LifeFlight’s services in the Wide-Bay Burnett region,” Mr Phillips said.
“The Club is generously donating $1 per ticket sale for the third year in a row, from one of their community games in the region.
“The next one is their upcoming blockbuster match against the Dolphins on 17 August at the Salter Oval in Bundaberg.”
During a recent visit to Bundaberg and its surrounds, Bulldogs players and officials had the opportunity to visit the Bundaberg LifeFlight base and express their gratitude to the crew for their invaluable services.
Bulldogs CEO Aaron Warburton was on base to personally extend his thanks and emphasise the partnership's significance for a Club deeply committed to community support:

The NRL Telstra Premiership Round 22 fixture will take place at Salter Oval on Saturday, August 17 with tickets available to purchase via Ticketek. General admission tickets start from $35.00 for standing and $65.00 for grandstand seating, with $1.00 from every ticket purchased to the match to be donated directly to LifeFlight.
