Queensland Rugby League has announced the Queensland Under 19 women’s squad to play New South Wales at Redcliffe on July 13.
Former Queensland and Australian representative Deanna Turner will have the responsibility of guiding the young Queenslanders, who enter camp on the Sunshine Coast this Friday.
Turner will be assisted by Maia Tua-Davidson and Meg Ward, with the experienced trio nurturing the emerging talent alongside Harvey Norman Queensland Maroons coach Tahnee Norris.
Among those inbound to camp is Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs' talented Tarsha Gale Cup outside back, Ebony Raftstrand-Smith who was named to the squad yesterday.
The team selection news followed the Harvey Norman Women’s National Championships on the Gold Coast, as well as the BMD Premiership and Harvey Norman Under 19s competitions.
The interstate clash will be played at Kayo Stadium on July 13, kicking off at 5.45pm with the Queensland Under 19 men's game to follow, where fellow Bulldogs' Academy player Damon Marshall will also line up in the maroons jersey.
