Bundaberg on Sale: Secure Your Tickets to This History Making Match

The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs are less than two months away from returning to the Bundaberg region to play for the very first time against the NRL's newest team, the Dolphins.

The July 30 match, which is to be played at Bundaberg’s Salter Oval, will mark just the second NRL fixture to come to the Bundaberg region and tickets are now on-sale and moving fast. Over 500 Bundaberg locals have already secured their tickets via Membership.

The return of the regional clash has been made possible thanks to the Bulldogs, with the support of local Council and the State Government.

Member for Bundaberg Tom Smith said the Bulldogs v Dolphins match was a great example of why major sporting codes should invest in regional Queensland.

"The Bundaberg community is again on track to deliver another sold-out event demonstrating not only our love for rugby league but our ability to host major events and grow the local economy," Mr Smith said.

“Having seen the benefits for our community from hosting last year's game, only confirms how important it was in playing a key role in delivering the Bulldogs to Bundaberg."

Tourism and Sport Minister Stirling Hinchliffe said the game for premiership points was part of Queensland’s NRL Grand Final legacy.

“When Queensland stepped up to host the 2021 NRL finals series and the Grand Final during the pandemic, the Palaszczuk Government also built in a legacy for regional Queensland,” Mr Hinchliffe said.

“The origins of next month’s Bulldogs v Dolphins clash at Salter Oval can be traced directly to the historic October NRL Grand Final at Suncorp Stadium.

“It’s a perfect opportunity for out-of-town fans, players and support crew to discover more of the Southern Great Barrier Reef’s great Queensland lifestyle and awe-inspiring tourism experiences.”

The Bulldogs v Dolphins Round 22 NRL Premiership match is proudly supported by the Palaszczuk Government’s Tourism and Events Queensland (TEQ) and Bundaberg Regional Council.

Kicking off at 2:00pm on Sunday, July 30, the match is a family-friendly time to make for a great afternoon of rugby league action for all.

General admission tickets will range from $30.00 for standing and $100.00 for grandstand seats, with family passes available.

A sell-out is expected, so interested parties who have not yet secured their tickets through Membership are encouraged to get in quickly to reserve their seats. For those unable to attend the match in person, the match will be broadcast on Kayo and Fox Sports.
