Pregame Notes: Round 10 v Raiders

The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs are looking for back-to-back wins when the club tackles the Canberra Raiders this Friday for the NRL's annual Magic Round held at Suncorp Stadium.

The Bulldog's enjoyed a gritty 18-16 win over the St George Illawarra Dragons last Sunday at WIN Stadium. Head Coach Cameron Ciraldo will be happy with the character that was on show from his troops, enduring moments throughout the match where players had to dig deep in defence.

Braidon Burns has been ruled out with an MCL strain which will see him sidelined for several weeks. The centre put in a memorable performance playing through injury, almost pulling off a remarkable chase down to prevent a Dragons try down the left edge.

Team News

Bulldogs: Jacob Kiraz and Max King are the notable inclusions for Canterbury-Bankstown this week after returning from injury. Franklin Pele also makes an appearance on the bench after overcoming a broken arm.

Raiders: Xavier Savage returns for the Raiders on the wing, replacing Albert Hopoate who drops out of the side.

Head-to-Head

Jacob Kiraz v Xavier Savage: Both players return after being hampered by injuries to start the season. Each brings different qualities to their respective clubs, but both possess an x-factor that could break the opposition's defensive line at any given time. The Bulldogs will be excited to have a workhorse back in the side who is not afraid of hard work and is a prime go-to for yardage out of their own half. The Raiders flyer, however, will add plenty of pace to the Canberra edge, capable of running the length of the field if given space out wide.

The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs will face Canberra Raiders this Friday at Suncorp Stadium, kicking off at 6:00PM AEST. Tickets are available here.
