Pregame Notes: Round 2 v Storm

The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs travel south to Melbourne to take on the Storm in their Round 2 fixture of the 2023 NRL Premiership, kicking off at 7:35PM AEDT on Saturday evening at AAMI Park.

Head Coach Cameron Ciraldo will be looking for an improved performance this weekend against Melbourne. Ciraldo has entrusted the same 17-man line-up which took to the field against the Manly Sea Eagles to represent the club in what has been a daunting assignment for most teams who have ventured to Victorian capital.

Team News

Bulldogs: Cameron Ciraldo has retained the same line-up he used in Round 1, with the latest NRL debutants in Paul Alamoti, Jacob Preston and Jayden Tanner

Storm: Tyran Wishart has been named five-eighth after Cameron Munster succumbed to a finger injury against the Parramatta Eels. Winger Xavier Coates will take his place on the winger after overcoming a shoulder injury sustained in Round 1.

Player to Watch: Reed Mahoney

The Bulldog's co-captain was a strong performer in a difficult match for Canterbury-Bankstown last Saturday against the Sea Eagles. The rake topped with a match high of 51 tackles, posting 93 kicking metres and nabbing the team's sole try of the match. The hooker will be looking to continue his individual performance and rally his team mates around to lift for a challenging encounter ahead.

The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs will take on the Melbourne Storm at AAMI Park, this Saturday, kicking off at 7:35PM AEDT. Tickets available here.
