The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs are pleased to welcome ShoeGrab to the family for an additional two years, with the local sneaker company signing on to a new term as the Club’s Official Head Coach and High Performance Unit Sponsor.
“ShoeGrab has been a valued partner of the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs since 2021,” said Bulldogs Chief Executive Officer, Aaron Warburton.
“We have great cross over in our supporter bases and together, we have delivered some great content and promotions. As we lead into a new phase for the Club under the stewardship of Cameron Ciraldo as our Head Coach, we are thrilled to have the ongoing support of Jay and the ShoeGrab team.”
The Bulldogs announced the appointment of Cameron Ciraldo as Head Coach for the next five (5) years in August 2022, with the new Coach arriving to Belmore as of November 2022 in line with the 2023 pre-season.
At the time of his appointment, Ciraldo had been one of the most sought-after coaches in the NRL, but it was a series of meetings with General Manager of Football Phil Gould, where he learned of the Club’s history, values and vision and ultimately made the decision to join the Bulldogs family.
ShoeGrab extends partnership with the Pack
The Bulldogs Board and Management had committed to returning the Football Club to traditional values and finding the right fit to lead the team for the foreseeable future became of paramount importance. With Ciraldo’s values aligned with the Club’s and his eagerness to create and mould the future at Canterbury, it became evident that he was ‘the one’ to lead the team forward in 2023.
Much like finding the right person for the football organisation, Bulldogs Chief Executive Officer Aaron Warburton said ShoeGrab had also proved to be the right fit for the Club:
“ShoeGrab have supported our long-term vision and welcomed the appointment of Cameron and his team in 2023. The Club greatly appreciates this support, and we are delighted to continue working with them as our Official Sponsors of the Coach and High-Performance Unit.”
ShoeGrab Director Jay Eldahabi said he too was thrilled to continue the relationship:
“The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs team and fans have been loyal, valued customers of ShoeGrab ever since we started up. We see this partnership as a way for us to stay connected with the Bulldogs community and as a great way to give back to them.
“We have full faith in the leadership and expertise of Phil Gould, Cameron Ciraldo and the current High-Performance team and are thrilled to be supporting them directly as they make and leave a new footprint at such an iconic Club.”
ShoeGrab is an Australian-owned and operated Sneaker Marketplace with local origins dating back to 2013. With a cult sneakerhead following unlike regular sneaker stores, ShoeGrab puts building meaningful relationships with customers as its’ core.
ShoeGrab carefully selects and filters its range of products in order to provide a unique, exclusive and affordable offering for customers that will no doubt prove to be the most worn, treasured and revered items in their wardrobe.
Similarly, Ciraldo has spent the pre-season building connection and strong bonds within the Bulldogs team, readying them for a promising 2023 season:
“Both ShoeGrab and the Bulldogs share a winning culture that has been built off connection and community,” he said.
“In 2023, we’ve been building towards a culture that respects the great past of the Bulldogs but also looks to create the future. Our team has an opportunity in the here and now to unite and inspire people in 2023 and it’s what we do with that opportunity that matters most to our Club and our people.
“Leading into the season, we have been doing the hard work to prepare ourselves to be the best that we can be on the field. Now it is time to put our hard work into action and that wouldn’t be possible without the support of our High-Performance team, and the support that ShoeGrab provides to us.”
