Vale Tony Charlton

The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs would like to express their sincere condolences to the Charlton family, after the passing of Tony Charlton.

Tony followed in the footsteps of his parents Pauline and Ken Charlton, who were involved with the Club's administration during the 1960s. Tony was a local junior and played 21 lower-grade games for Canterbury-Bankstown throughout the late 1960s.

He would go on to play first grade for Parramatta Eels from 1973-1976, before returning to the Bulldogs as a Reserve Grade Coach between 1984-1986.

Tony would later move into an administrative role, serving as a Leagues Club Director between 2004-2014.

The Charlton family has had an enormous impact on the Bulldogs club throughout its' history, contributing both on and off the field in many regards.

Our deepest sympathies and thoughts are with his family.
