Bulldogs v Sharks: Round 24 Pregame Notes

The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs will face the Cronulla Sutherland Sharks on Saturday August 27th at PointsBet Stadium, kicking off at 5:30PM AEST in Round 24 of the 2022 NRL Premiership.

The last month has been a tough period for Canterbury-Bankstown, who will look to finish off on the right note to end the season. Facing the third-placed Sharks, the Bulldogs will be looking to upset their fancied rivals as they enter enemy territory.

Team News

Bulldogs: Forward Luke Thompson is a huge loss for the side, after making a successful return to the field last weekend against the Parramatta Eels. Harrison Edwards will shift to the starting forward pack, with Joshua Stuckey set to make his NRL debut from the bench. Local Junior Chris Patolo has also been named to return to first grade from the interchange.

Sharks: Siosifa Talakai will make a return to bolster the Shark's backline, whilst Connor Tracey misses the clash due to concussion. Andrew Fifita will also line up against the Bulldogs to play his last home game for the Cronulla. Kayal Iro will also make his NRL debut against the Bulldogs after Matt Ikuvalu was ruled out late due to injury.

Faitala-Mariner will look to build on his performances towards the backend of the season after successfully overcoming an injury plagued 18 months. The dual international will play a pivotal role for the club in seasons ahead. Graham has been a cornerstone for the Sharks for years and will look to lead the club deep into September. His leadership will be very important on the paddock, with the Bulldogs looking to cause a major boil over.
