Round 22 Team News: Line-up confirmed to face Warriors

The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs will welcome Raiders duo, Ryan James and Corey Horsburgh, into their side for this Sunday's clash with the Warriors in Redcliffe (1:50PM AEST).

Both players have been loaned to the Bulldogs for two weeks.

Their loans have come about after a request from the Bulldogs, based on the fact that they have an enormous injury load that has meant that they have been unable to pick from a full squad. This has included Ray Faitala-Mariner, Christian Crichton and Tui Katoa. In addition, Renouf Atoni has returned to Sydney to attend the birth of his child.

Corey Allan has been ruled out minutes before kick off due to feeling unwell during the team warm up. Jayden Okunbor has been named to take his spot on the wing for this afternoon's fixture.

Jackson Topine and Lachlan Lewis were previously omitted from the squad 24 hours before kick off on game day eve.

Bulldogs - General Manager of Football, Phil Gould, thanked Ricky Stuart, the Raiders and the NRL.

“The Bulldogs would like to thank Raiders coach Ricky Stuart and the entire Raiders organisation for this kind gesture in loaning our club two players for the next fortnight to cover our extraordinary circumstances.

Sincere thanks also to Peter V’Landys and his fellow Commissioners, NRL CEO Andrew Abdo and his salary cap team for showing discretion under the rules to allow these player loans to take place.

It’s greatly appreciated by the Bulldogs, our members, fans and corporate partners.

It’s been a tough year for the club, but the coach and players want to continue being competitive right until the very last siren rings out.

In our hour of need, to have another NRL club show us such support, typifies the unity amongst all NRL clubs in these difficult times.

Hopefully it’s never needed, but if the opportunity ever arises one day, we will be certain to return the favour”.
