The Bulldogs have continued their trend of creating depth in all positions with the re-signing of winger Tui Katoa on a one year deal.
The hard running 22 year-old, who made his debut for the Bulldogs against the Panthers last season, is a local junior who hails from the Chester Hill Hornets, which is the same junior club that produced Bulldogs legend Terry Lamb.
Katoa represented the NSW 20’s team in 2019, and was also a member of the Tongan World Nines squad.
He has made 9 NRL appearances this season, scoring two tries.
Bulldogs Chief Executive Aaron Warburton saw the signing as another step in the right direction for the Club:
”At this stage of the year we are working really hard to create the right balance in our squad for next season and the signing of Tui is an important one in regard to adding depth to our back three positions.
Tui is a quiet achiever who works hard and goes about his business with little fanfare. He is also a real talent and someone we believe has a great deal of growth left in him.
He has already had a taste of representative honours with Tonga, and we look forward to seeing him continue to develop his game next season.”
