Round 11 charges: Katoa and Smith to miss Panthers match

Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs forwards Sione Katoa and Chris Smith will both miss this week's clash with the Penrith Panthers due to suspension.

Both Katoa and Smith will be sidelined for a week after taking the early guilty pleas on grade one crusher tackles out of last weekend's match against the Gold Coast Titans.

Katoa was penalised and placed on report by referee Matt Cecchin in the 45th minute for a crusher tackle on Gold Coast Titans forward Tino Fa'asuamaleau, while Smith was also placed on report for a crusher tackle on Titans winger Phillip Sami.

In other judiciary news, Dylan Napa has accepted the early guilty plea for a careless high tackle and Corey Waddell has taken the early guilty plea for contrary conduct. Neither will miss any games, but have been fined for their incidents.
