It is with deep sadness that the Bulldogs advise of yesterday’s passing of club stalwart Phil Charlton.

Phil, who was a local junior and one of the Bulldogs’ toughest front rowers, played 175 Grade Games for the club between 1970-1978.

He then coached the reserve grade team between 1993-1995, and was also involved as part of the coaching support staff for many years.

Phil also sat on the football club board from 2008-2013, and was awarded Life Membership of the football club in 2007.

In addition, Phil was a major contributor to the Bulldogs Ambassadors committee for many years.

The club would like to express their deepest sympathies to the Charlton family and friends at this difficult time.
