A new beginning at Belmore starts

Preparations for the 2021 season started today for the majority of the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs NRL squad.

All five development players, a host of rookies and the top 30 walked through the gates of Belmore Sports Ground to begin the gruelling five weeks of pre-season leading into Christmas.

New recruits Kyle Flanagan, Corey Waddell and Jack Hetherington were greeted by the new coaching staff and a host of familiar faces at Belmore as the three new players to the club prepared for the upcoming campaign.

A new look training kit, facilities and training regime had Belmore a buzz today under the watchful eye of Head Coach Trent Barrett.

Day One saw the players undertake an induction into the new beginning at Belmore, as well as being put through a host of screening and testing in the gym, before a team lunch came in the middle of the day, followed by a field and recovery session in the afternoon that ended the opening day of the 2021 pre-season.

The only player missing on day one was Nick Cotric, due to Origin commitments.
