Debutant Watch | Averillo called upon by coach Pay

Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs junior Jake Averillo will live out a childhood dream this Thursday night when he makes his NRL debut against the Cowboys.

Averillo will come off the interchange bench in the absence of Kerrod Holland as the Dogs look to claim their first win of the season following their Round 1 loss to the Eels.

It will be a proud moment for Averillo, as-well as the Bulldogs, as the 19-year-old has been a product of the club's UNE SG Ball and Jersey Flegg Cup squads in recent years.

The talented outside back recently signed a contract-extension with Canterbury-Bankstown until the end of 2021 and is the third player to graduate from the Canterbury Cup NSW in 2020.

2020 Canterbury Cup NSW graduates

Toby Rudolf  – Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks (Round 1 v South Sydney Rabbitohs)

Jamayne Taunoa-Brown – Warriors (Round 1 v Newcastle Knights)

Jake Averillo – Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs (Round 2 v North Queensland Cowboys)
