JAKE Turpin will make his return to the Broncos’ team as they try to cement an NRL finals berth on Saturday.

After serving a two-week suspension, Turpin has been named at halfback and will re-join skipper Darius Boyd in the halves against the Bulldogs in Sydney.

The makeshift partnership has been successful since first coming together against the Sharks in round 16.

The pair lost just one game in seven outings together before Turpin was hit with a dangerous contact ban.

Sean O’Sullivan is an unlucky casualty after two strong weeks in the number-seven jersey and has been named as 18th man.

It is the only change to the starting side that defeated the Parramatta Eels in golden-point extra time last Friday.

There is a tweak on the bench however, with outside back Izaia Perese named as cover on the interchange list.

Gehamat Shibasaki is still in the extended squad but looks likely to return to the Intrust Super Cup for more game time.

Joe Ofahengaue is still an outside hope of playing against the Bulldogs after being named in the 21-man squad.

He missed the win against the Eels with a minor calf injury, but can make a last-ditch effort to play this week with a strong showing at training on Thursday.

If the Broncos can defeat the Bulldogs on Saturday they will lock down seventh spot on the NRL ladder and are in line for an knockout final the following week against either the Eels or Sea Eagles.
