The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs may have walked away from AAMI Park on Sunday without the two points, but their members and fans were super proud of the team’s effort.
While the team will be disappointed to be leaving Melbourne empty-handed, Dean Pay and his men can take plenty of positives away from their performance.
After a tough opening two weeks to the season, the Bulldogs past two games have been impressive with members and fans taking to social to media to show how proud of their team they were following the two-point loss to the Storm.
Couldn’t be prouder of our boys today. They almost caused the upset of the season so far. No one gave them a chance, but they were the better team on the day & should have won. Love your work boys! #proudtobeabulldog

What a great effort by my @NRL_Bulldogs boys today!!! I was heartbroken we lost but I am also so proud of this performance because we showed so much fight and determination to stay in the game to the very end!!! What a difference two weeks makes!!! #proudtobeabulldog

Incredibly proud of our boys today. Highly entertaining game. To lose only by a conversion to a competition heavyweight while being a player short was great. If we play like we’ve done the last two weeks we will win more than we lose. #NRLStormBulldogs #ProudToBeABulldog

Attitude and effort today were top notch. Playing most of the game with a 2 man bench and still having a chance at the end for Golden Point is a performance we can really be proud of. #proudtobeabulldog

Never been more proud of my @NRL_Bulldogs. The way they fought, the courage to not give up was inspiring... It's hard to go toe-to-toe with the best team, undefeated at their home, and with your marquee front rower injured during the game. 👊 #NRLStormBulldogs #proudtobeabulldog
— Ross-John (RJ) Bonaccorsi (@RJ_Goodthings) April 7, 2019
Really proud of the boys effort today considering the young side we had. Chin up and move onto Dragons next Sunday!#ProudToBeABulldog #NRLStormBulldogs
— Rizky (@Rizky90_) April 7, 2019
We may not have come away with the two points but the boys have all my respect. There’s a performance we can be proud of from a group of rookies who’ve put the ‘experienced’ group we had in the past to shame #proudtobeabulldog
— Hoda (@huddha94) April 7, 2019
@NRL_Bulldogs so proud of the boys today, to go to Melbourne and play the Storm and play the way we did makes me #proudtobeabulldog
