Match Report: Round 19 v Eels

The Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs have gone down to the Parramatta Eels, 14-8 at ANZ Stadium on Thursday night.

The Bulldogs scored first when Kerrod Holland crossed in the seventh minute thanks to a last tackle play that featured eight passes and ended with a 6-0 lead.

The visitors had all the possession in the opening 25 minutes, but couldn't capitalise on their opportunities.

With 10 minutes left in the first half, winger Brett Morris was sent to the sin bin for a professional foul and four minutes later, the Eels levelled the scores through hooker Kaysa Pritchard.

Mitchell Moses converted the try to lock up the scores at 6 all at the break.

Parramatta scored the only try of the second half when Mitchell Moses sprinted 95 metres untouched after collecting a grubber kick from Bulldogs five-eighth Lachlan Lewis.

The Eels halfback scored under the post to give the home side a 12-6 lead.

For the next 25 minutes both teams were looking for another try, but could only manage penalty goals each and in the end, Parramatta walked away with a 14-8 win.

Eels 14 (Moses, Pritchard tries: Moses 3 goals)

Bulldogs 8 (Holland try: Martin 2 goals)
