The Canterbury- Bankstown Bulldogs held an exclusive open training session last Tuesday, December 12 for our 2018 Members.

Those there had the opportunity to watch the NRL boys train, get a few signatures and take photos after the session.

The training session held on Tuesday afternoon was held with our junior league teams, including the SG Ball, Harold Matts and Tarsha Gale Cup.

A few of the first-grade boys joined in the training session and others were in charge of teaching skills to their group.

Bulldogs Pathways Performance Manager, Andy Patmore, who organised the afternoon, was very happy with how it went.

We decided to give our junior reps the chance to train with the NRL boys. It’s more of a meet n greet than a skills improvement session. The kids have always got plenty out of it, so it’s a great thing on our calendar and we’re keeping it.

“To be rubbing shoulders with the NRL boys is probably breaking some barriers more than anything else. They’re normal people and we’re all footy heads and we all belong to the same footy organisation. Breaks a few barriers and gets them to interact with the players.”

“Everyone got a photo at the end. It was great for them as fans and they really loved it.”
