Melbourne Storm back-rower Tohu Harris is set to miss the opening two months of the season, including the Storm’s opening match against the Bulldogs at Belmore Sports Ground.

The New Zealand international is looking at an eight-week layoff after scans revealed a stress fracture in his left foot.

Harris picked up the injury during Melbourne's trial loss to the Bulldogs in Hobart.

The challenge to start the season in the right fashion will be tested in the opening Round for the Bulldogs when the 2016 Grand Finalists head to Sydney; however, with an impressive record against the Storm including six straight wins, a confident Bulldogs side will be what the fans will want to see on March 3.
