Brisbane Broncos Coach Wayne Bennett has confirmed Herman Ese’ese will replace the suspended Sam Thaiday for Saturday night’s clash with the Bulldogs.

The former Bulldog who debuted in the blue and white against the Manly Sea Eagles in 2015, will play his sixth NRL game tomorrow night at ANZ Stadium.

Ese’ese had been named as 18th man on Tuesday for cover if there were any late injuries or suspension following Queensland’s 26-18 Origin triumph and with Sam Thaiday set to spend the next two matches on the sideline after taking an early guilty plea on a dangerous throw, Ese’ese was elevated to the interchange bench.

The other five Queensland Origin players will back up for the game against the Bulldogs, although Josh McGuire did not train with the squad this morning before they headed to Sydney.
