The Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs have received a major energy boost with OPAL Solar upgrading their involvement to become a sponsor featuring on the bottom back of jerseys for the next two seasons (2016-2017).
After joining the Bulldogs as coach sponsor in 2015, OPAL Solar co-founder Andrew Burgess said they were quick to broaden their involvement with the Club as soon as the opportunity arrived.
“OPAL Solar felt part of the extended Bulldogs family from day one, we believe in the direction the club is heading in terms of social change, community engagement, corporate responsibility and performance,” Burgess said.
“These attributes were clear from all levels of the organisation and we didn’t hesitate when the opportunity presented itself to upgrade and have OPAL Solar’s name on the Bulldogs jersey.”
“OPAL Solar believes that all Australians should have the opportunity to access the affordable and clean energy that is abundant in our country and a partnership with the Bulldogs gives OPAL Solar a great platform to promote the extensive benefits of solar energy.”
OPAL Solar offers a unique approach to designing, engineering and constructing very high-quality, efficient and sustainable photovoltaic (PV) solar systems for commercial and utility applications.
“We’re really proud to have the Bulldogs partnering with OPAL Solar, a company that is at the forefront of energy transformation that will benefit current and future generations,” said Bulldogs CEO Raelene Castle.
“We are committed to working with OPAL Solar to play a leading role in raising awareness of solar as a clean and affordable energy source.
“This partnership also presents an important opportunity to showcase a success story from the Canterbury Bankstown district. Rami Fedda who co-founded OPAL Solar spent his childhood kicking footballs on Terry Lamb Reserve, his weekends at Belmore Sports Ground, attended Chester Hill High School and worked hard in partnership with Andrew Burgess to build a company that has recently been acquired by a major international player in the rapidly growing solar energy sector.
“Wherever possible we like to share the achievements of people like Rami and we’ll be wearing the OPAL Solar name on our Bulldogs jerseys with pride.”
Keep a look out for the 2016 Jersey range to be released soon.
