Bulldogs.com.au takes a look back at all the member rookie of the weeks from season 2015.
Round 2 v Parramatta Eels
Rookie of the week – Kai Baker - Member Number – 1553732
This week’s Rookie member of the week is Kai Baker. Kai is only 6 years old and saved up all of his pocket money last year to buy his first Bulldogs jersey. He began playing his first season of football in 2014 and looks up to players like Josh Reynolds and Trent Hodkinson! Kai has already began saving for his next jersey which he hopes to buy this year!
Round 5 v Bunnies
Rookie of the week – Carolyn Whitley - Member Number – 17705
This week’s Rookie member of the week is Carolyn Whitley. Carolyn grew up in Belmore and would regularly attend games with her Father. Throughout the years, Carolyn went through financial hardship, but NOTHING stopped her from showing her support and loyalty to the Bulldogs. This year Carolyn decided to finally become a Born & Bred member and has enjoyed our start to the season.
Round 7 v Manly
Rookie of the week – Francoise Yohana- Member Number - 16973
This week’s Rookie member of the week is Francoise Yohana. Francoise has been supporting the Bulldogs as far back as she can remember. Her passion is second to none and is shown through her continuing support, cheering and attendance throughout the season. Regardless of whether the team win or lose, Francoise will always turn up to games and back the boys!
Round 8 v Tigers
Rookie of the week – Dean Baxter - Member Number – 15337
This week’s Rookie member of the week is Dean Baxter. Dean has been Bulldogs born and bred since the 1984 grand final against Parramatta. After the Club made the Grand final last year, Dean and his mate decided it was now time they jumped on board as members! They now make the trip down from Newcastle for every home game to watch some of Dean’s favourite players like Josh Reynolds.
Round 10 v Roosters
Rookie of the week – Maurice Saouma - Member Number – 21089
This week’s Rookie member of the week is Maurice Saouma. Although Maurice’s family support other teams, he is a passionate bulldogs supporter, staying up late to watch old Bulldogs game and learn as much about the team as possible.
Round 13 v Dragons
Rookie of the week – Ashton Gibson - Member Number – 18535
This week’s Rookie member of the week is Ashton Gibson. Although Ashton lives in Newcastle, him and his family attend Sydney regularly to watch the might Bulldogs play. He has 3 Bulldogs teddy bears called Josh Reynolds, James Graham and Frank the Tank who are his favourite players.
Round 15 v Panthers
Rookie of the week – Malcolm Kent - Member Number – 15280
This week’s Rookie member of the week is Malcom Kent. Malcom has been a diehard bulldogs fan his whole life and has finally jumped on board as a member in 2015. He continued to follow the team through the super league years and has not looked back since. Malcolm is thoroughly enjoying his first year as a member.
Round 16 v Storm
Rookie of the week – Derek Royal - Member Number – 17759
This week’s Rookie member of the week is Derek Royal. In only his first year of membership, Derek has committed to a full season pedigree platinum membership and is a local boy, living in the Campsie area. Derek has been to nearly all home games so far this season and is enjoying his experience as a member.
Round 18 v Broncos
Rookie of the week –Member Number – 17079
This week’s Rookie member of the week is Natalie Mustapha! Natalie is one of our most passionate 5 year old members. She can name every player in the team and has been attending Bulldogs games since she was a toddler!
Round 20 v Sharks
Rookie of the Week – Anne-Marie Dawson – Member Number 19883
This week’s rookie of the week is Anne-Marie Dawson. Anne-Marie has been a diehard Bulldogs fan for a long time, but only recently jumped on board as a member. In her first year of membership she has tried to involve herself in as much as possible, racking up plenty of doggy bones on dogsofrewards and attending meet and greets. Through her Bulldogs membership, Anne-Marie was able to attend her first ever LIVE NRL game this season.
Round 23 v Titans
Rookie of the Week – Connor Acton – Member Number 22316
This week’s rookie of the week is Connor Acton. At the ripe old age of 11, Connor has become a Bulldogs fan only in the past few years. His favourite player is David Klemmer and today’s game is the first LIVE match of NRL he has attended!
Round 26 v Warriors
Rookie of the Week – Gabriella Cipri – Member Number 16996
This week’s rookie of the week is Gabriella Cirpri. Gabriella is a diehard Bulldogs fan and first year member. Her room is kitted out with bulldogs pictures and posters and she owns a stack of merchandise. Gabriella attends our member meet and greets and goes to as many games as possible.
