David Klemmer returns to the Bulldogs line-up after making his New South Wales debut and knows he needs to perform in the blue and white and do his job.

After making a significant impact from the bench for the Blues, Klemmer is aware that he still needs to continue to do what he does best for the Bulldogs on Monday.

“I have to come back here and play my role for the club,” Klemmer said.

“I just want to do my job on Monday and I can’t wait to get out there on Monday.”

He’ll line-up against the Dragons on Monday who have really shown the competition what type of team they are and he certainly is surprised by where they stand on the ladder.

“They have been playing good footy.

“Their defence has been really good over the last month and they deserve to be where they are.”

Klemmer plays alongside some of the best forwards in the game and although the Dragons forward pack may not be as star studded as the Bulldogs, they’re certainly getting the job done collectively.

“They’re just doing their role, not doing anything fancy, their laying the platform for their halves and playing some good footy.”

One battle which many will keep a close eye on is the halves and although the Bulldogs pair have been put under the spotlight throughout 2015, Klemmer knows Monday is a great opportunity for Josh Reynolds and Trent Hodkinson to shine.

“They have been training well and I know their looking for a big game, so Monday is a good time to prove it.”
