Former State of Origin great and current Club media personality, Steve Turner joined Club legend Terry Lamb to reward loyal Member Sue Eastman, with the first 18 Loyalty Program key ring for 2014.
The 18 Loyalty Program recognises and rewards loyalty from 2007, the year the 18 Jersey was retired and first presented to Members.
Captain Andrew Ryan explained at the time.
"Every week we have 17 Players named. When we play at home, it feels like we have an extra player with us - an 18th player. This player is you, our Members.
Only you can wear the number 18." Even though Sue has been a season ticket holder for much longer, like many of the Members who sit around her, she was ecstatic to receive the recognition from the Club.
Sue went on to reminisce about watching her favourite players including Greg Brentnall and Steve Price.
When questioned of her favourite current player, she professed her love for watching Reni Maitua. A man, who she watched star in the Club’s 2004 Premiership winning side. “They were good times. I may not have slept for a few days.”
The 18 Loyalty Program recognises and rewards all loyal Members for consecutive years of Membership since 2007. All benefit items will be fulfilled from June 2014. Make sure you don’t miss out!
