Front-rower Aiden Tolman returns to the Bulldogs line-up this weekend having only played one game out of the last six.
Tolman has been hampered by a hamstring injury over the last six weeks and has only managed one game during this time, round 22 against the Brisbane Broncos.
It’s been a frustrating time for the ever consistent Tolman who has had to sit and watch the Bulldogs play some exceptional footy over the last month and for a player who delivers with his actions, being included in the 17 for the final home and away game of the season is what he has been waiting for.
“It’s good to be back on the field, because I hate not playing and sitting on the sideline,” Tolman said.
“Last week I could have played, but we just wanted to give it an extra week and make sure I’m mentally ready to play.”
As the business end of the season approaches and the intensity in the games goes to the next level, having a run before the finals begins will be crucial for Tolman.
“If I wasn’t ready to play, I wouldn’t risk myself and I wouldn’t do that for the team. I’m confident I am ready now and we’ll see how the week unfolds.”
